Because when Tyrion hurts you he makes sure your psychotic son who has ultimate power is as thoroughly protected and well fortified as possible while not risking his neck trying to keep Joffrey from stupidly risking his. He also sends your daughter away from the approaching army led by a man who’s family is notorious for smashing the heads of the babies of the last family of rulers they deposed. The family they deposed from the very same city and castle you are currently living in. Tyrion will viciously send your daughter to Dorn, a place that is at the moment the safest, most isolated and defensible place in all of Westeros.

When Cersei hurts you, on the other hand…she’ll have an innocent prostitute that she thinks you really care about kidnapped and beaten up. And threaten to torture and kill her with obvious enjoyment.

The bolded? Yeah, it was the Lannisters that smashed the Targaryen babies heads into walls (Stannis was too busy starving to death in Storm’s End). Tywin Lannister and Gregor Clegane to be exact. The baby-head smashers are on Cersei’s side. And the baby’s heads they smashed? Were half-Dornish, the cousins of the prince Myrcella was sold to without either her or her mother’s consent. Tyrion didn’t just send her off to Dorne for a little vacation, he arranged a marriage between her and Trystane Martell. As women are basically property in Westeros, Myrcella is now at the mercy of people who HATE the Lannisters. If Trystane Martell turns out to be an abusive dick like Robert, there is no recourse to get Myrcella out. If the Dornish decide to get revenge for their children being murdered by Lannisters by murdering a Lannister child, there’s nothing Cersei can do to stop it. For all Cersei knows, her 11-year old daughter will now have to suffer a life of rape and abuse, like she did.

The children are in danger by being in King’s Landing, that’s true, because shit gets kind of horrible when a city gets sacked. But while Stannis is hard and unforgiving, and might very well execute the King and even Cersei, he’s never given any indication that he would butcher children, or do anything to Myrcella and Tommen other than exile them. Same with Robb Stark.

Cersei did the only thing she could think of to try to protect the children she has left from the man who would give her daughter to the enemy without so much as a by-your-leave. Cersei has spent her life being at the mercy of men, be it her father, or Robert, and now her little brother. She threatened the one person he cared about, held her over his head, since that is exactly what Tyrion was doing to her. Tyrion started this, not Cersei, and the worst thing is he can’t even see it. He can’t possibly understand why a woman might resent him for treating her (or her daughter) like property, to be used in whatever manner he chooses, whether they consent to it or not.

And this tag: #wonder where joffrey got his attitude toward sex workers ?

Joffrey doesn’t just abuse sex workers, he abuses everyone he thinks he can, like Sansa. And he probably got that from Robert, stories about Tywin’s exploits, and even a bit from Tyrion. He’s seen his ‘father’ beat his mother (or at least knows it happens) and get away with it and still have everyone treat him like a King. His father probably crows on all the time, especially when drunk, about how awesome it is that Elia of Dorne got raped to death as she watched her babies being killed. Tyrion, on the other hand, is such a thoughtful man that he would send two vulnerable whores to the clutches of the nephew he knows is both sadistic and hates him. How did he think that was going to end? Did he think at all? Did he spare a thought at all for Ros and Daisy?

Cersei didn’t beat Ros because she was a whore, she beat her because she thought she was Tyrion’s. If Tyrion had a girl who was a kitchen wench, or maid, or dressmaker, she would have had them beaten. She has no particular grievance towards whores.

Here was her son on his stallion, glancing back at her one last time and lifting his sword in salute.
Here was the call of Maege Mormont’s warhorn, a long low blast that rolled down the valley from the east, to tell them that the last of Jaime’s riders had entered the trap.
And Grey Wind threw back his head and howled.
